Here at Innovo Detox in Pennsylvania, we understand that making the decision to stop active addiction and seek out recovery is daunting. The fear of withdrawals, the fear of detox, the fear of change, and the fear of living life without drugs and alcohol can be scary, and that fear can keep someone in active addiction for many years.

However, here at Innovo Detox, we also understand that those first few days of the process of recovery are some of the most important and valuable that you will ever face. We know that in order to seek a life of recovery, it takes getting over the hump of actually stopping drug and alcohol misuse, getting through withdrawals or discomfort, both physically and emotionally, and getting to a place where you are medically stable, mentally fit, and emotionally healthy in order to truly begin the wonderful journey of recovery from addiction.

First, we want to let you know that many of us have been through active addiction, taken the steps of going through withdrawals, and making the decision to enter detox and then seek rehab or treatment. We’ve been there. We know what you are going through. And we know it’s not easy, but it is absolutely worth it. Trust us, because we didn’t believe it at first either. We felt hopeless and alone, terrified and afraid. We felt no one truly understand what we were going through, and even if we sought recovery, it wouldn’t work for us. However, we are here to tell you that there are others that understand, there are others that have been through it, and there are millions of people around there world that have been where you are, have taken the steps to seek recovery, and no longer feel that way. Rather, they are people living free from addiction, that are here to tell you that there is hope and that recovery can and will work for you if you take those first few steps. Many of them are right here, in our facility in Pennsylvania, at Innovo Detox ready and willing to help.

So, what can you expect from your alcohol and drug detox experience?

Let us try to help calm your nerves, lessen your anxiety, ease your fears, and offer some insight.

Early in your stay you will also meet with Continuing Care Coordinator Mike Kessler, who will work with you and your family to make sure that an appropriate clinical plan is in place once you are medically stable and prepared to discharge.
