A member of the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association of health insurance companies, the BCBS Federal Employee Program (FEP) has been part of the Federal Employees Health Benefits (FEHB) Program since its inception in 1960. BCBS FEP covers over 5.5 million federal employees, retirees, and their families. Overall, the national BCBS FEP health insurance offers medical, dental, and vision benefits to over 8 million individuals.

Innovo Detox, which opened its doors to treat patients suffering from addiction, substance use disorders, and co-occurring disorders on March 16, 2020, began operations with as an in-network provider for Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield and anyone with associated Blue Card Member benefits. With these new in-network contracts with Capital Blue Cross and the BCBS Federal Employee Program (FEP), Innovo Detox will be able to make its detox, withdrawal management, and medical stabilization services more accessible to individuals and families impacted by addiction.

“Several weeks ago, the CDC released the data on fatal overdoses for the year 2020,” said Innovo Detox Corporate Director of Marketing Zach Snitzer. “The numbers were both staggering and frightening. Over 93,000 Americans lost their lives to a drug overdose in 2020, and that number does not account for non-fatal overdoses or those that lost their lives to drug-related health conditions that were not overdoses. America’s opioid crisis is actually an addiction epidemic, and more people are in need of help than ever before. These new in-network contracts will allow for the high quality of medical and clinical care available at Innovo Detox to be more accessible to individuals and families in need.”

With these new in-network Blue Cross Blue Shield contracts, Innovo Detox will be able to accept any individual or family member covered by a BCBS health insurance plan as an in-network provider. Currently, Innovo Detox is also an in-network provider for Geisinger Health Plan.
