America’s addiction epidemic continues to hit communities throughout the country, as rising opioid overdose rates were made worse by the COVID-19 pandemic. The most recent report estimates that last year in the United States over 107,000 people lost their lives to drug overdoses. These totals do not account for the many non-fatal overdoses, lives lost in other ways to drugs and alcohol, and the millions of individuals and families that are still impacted by active addiction.

Because of this, here at Innovo Detox we knew that it was important to get out a wide message to our local community about how to seek help, what treatment is, what someone experiences while in detox and treatment, and that recovery is possible. Therefore, we partnered with the local “Good Day PA!” television show, broadcast each weekday on Pennsylvania’s ABC27 WHTM news station, to help bring education and awareness about these issues. Based in the state capital of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, ABC27 serves the Susquehanna Valley region as an affiliate of ABC. Monthly, team members of Innovo Detox went on air to speak about addiction, addiction treatment and detox, the services offered at Innovo, including detox, withdrawal management, and medical stabilization, and the process of treatment and recovery from addiction. Below is a listing of the segments:
