Innovo Detox is excited to announce the hiring of Louis DeSanto as our new Community Outreach Specialist in the Philadelphia area and surrounding region. Working with Innovo Detox Director of Business Development Morgan Pagels, Louis will handle developing and maintaining professional and community relationships in the Greater Philadelphia area.
A person in long-term recovery, Louis is entering the addiction treatment and behavioral healthcare field after many years working in sales, marketing, and communications as the Director of Business Development for a large energy company that serviced customers throughout the Northeast and Midwest areas of the United States. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from Shippensburg University in Shippensburg, Pennsylvania.
After finding recovery from addiction and after many years of experience in sales, marketing, and communication in the energy sector, Louis was driven to find a career in a field that supported his passion for helping others. He looked to transfer that drive into meaningful work in addiction treatment.
“I wanted to find work that fulfilled me and support my passion for recovery,” Louis said. “I was looking for a role and an organization where I could spend 100% of my time helping people find recovery. I am thrilled to be joining Innovo Detox, an organization rooted in a culture of integrity and high-quality treatment. My goal is to both bring education and awareness of the incredible services that Innovo Detox offers, but even more so to be a trusted resource in the local community and simply be helpful to individuals and families impacted by addiction.”
In the role of Community Outreach Specialist, Louis will be tasked with educating and informing local clinical professionals, addiction treatment centers and rehab, healthcare systems, recovery houses and sober homes, and local community organizations about the services that Innovo Detox offers to help individuals enter treatment and recovery. Additionally, he is to be a trusted resource, well-versed in the local treatment and recovery support options, in order aid those in need find appropriate services.
